Audi RS3 Sedan has been rendered, but will it actually happen?
Famous Theophilus Chin has shared his rendering of a potential Audi RS3 Sedan.
It became possible when the "automotive manipulator" used the 2014 A3 clubsport Quattro concept’s body and took front and rear bumpers of the RS3 Sportback which is commercialized on the continent. The automaker has confirmed that the RS3 is not going to go on sale in the U.S. not long ago. There are some reports that indicate it will be transformed into a sedan. It is believed that the sedan will have lots of common things with these digital interpretations.
Notwithstanding its shape, the US-spec RS3 could arrive at the market in the 2016 model year. The model could be equipped with the identical 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo engine with output of 367 hp (or 270 kW) and torque of 465 Nm (or 342 lb-ft). As to the Euro-spec RS3, its engine is joined to a 7-speed S tronic transmission. Though, close to the automaker sources reveal that a 6-speed manual gear box is being considered for the American version.
Quattro four-wheel drive is going to be regular, just as on all RS offerings. As to performance characteristics, they should feature those of the RS Sportback. The vehicle reaches 0-62 mpg (100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds. Its top speed is 155 mph (250 km/h) or 174 mph (280 km/h) if a customer will ask the automaker to raise the electronic limiter.
