Consumer Electronics Show staged Rapide S concept debut
CES presented the new Aston Martin Rapide S made in cooperation with Letv to the world.
People have generally agreed that not a lot can be expected from the internal changes, as it turned out to be. Inside the concept shows some signs of widely popular and common up-to-date equipment, such as a large digital display and even larger infotainment one. All the protruding details were added to the latter. Passengers of the car can use Wi-Fi and the driver can feel the advantages of remote monitoring.
The engine in the concept can easily be called a mill: twelve cylinders in combination with a displacement of 6.0 litres together churn 552 hp. The maximum speed the car can reach is 203 mph, and the acceleration from an idle position takes 4.2 seconds.
Aston Martin’s partner in the debut is a Chinese hi-tech company with a wide range of products and services, from making smartphones to TV sports broadcast. The British carmaker became interested in partnership at the end of last year. The tandem of two companies has all the chances to yield some quality mutual product, which is agreed to be cars with internet connection.
Executive team of the luxury auto brand feels comfortable about the business step made in the direction of a hi-tech partnership. Thus, Andrew Palmer states that it was nothing but natural to look into the opportunity to take a step up in car technology, which is why it was seized. The customers also seem to be excited of the yields of the creative partnership.
