Aston Martin shows the DB9 GT (Special James Bond Edition)
Prominent British automaker has disclosed the DB9 GT James Bond Edition. It is a special vehicle of limited edition that was created in order to celebrate 50 years of the company’s cooperation with the famous spy film.
150 units of the edition under consideration will be produced. The model’s launch is expected to land along with the latest Bond film (Spectre) with Daniel Craig performing James Bond. By the way, the actor stated that this one is going to be his last Bond film.
The new car is the DB9 with the biggest amount of power the automaker has ever produced. It is equipped with a hand-built 6.0-litre twelve-cylinder engine producing 512 hp and torque of 457 lb-ft. The DB9 GT is a 2+2 coupe. It is able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The vehicle’s top speed stands at 183 mph. It is just perfect for chasing the cars! And chasing international super villains will definitely take place in the new film.
The vehicle received subtle design changes. They start from a special colour. It is called Spectre Silver. The badges on the car are made of sterling silver. Expect to see “007 Bond Edition” badging inside and out the vehicle. Besides, super badass gun barrel embroidery can be seen on the back seat divider. Moreover, there is a special Bond start up display for the infotainment set-up.
