Aston Martin Racing Launches 2-Car Pirelli Global Contest Campaign
California-based TRG-AMR North America has added 2 new racers to its roster for the remainder of this year’s PirelliWorld Contest series, fielding a duo of Aston MartinVantage GT4 race vehicle as full-time entrants.
Racers Mark Klenin and Drew Regitz, both of whom have been driving in BMWs this season, have switched to Aston Martin full-time moving forward. Klenin, who had registered 4 four laps at Lime Rock Park in the Vantage GT4 race vehicle, decided to switch at the Saturday race of the Lime Rock Grand Prix with a positive showing. During the last 3 races, both racers will now have the total support of TRG-AMR and will look forward to a complete-season effort next year.
Both racers will debut this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, which will host the 7th round of the PirelliWorld Contest.
“I chose TRG-AMR for its prestige,” informed Mark Klenin. “They’ve always been professionally operated, and I’m thrilled to have a vehicle that’s setup so it’s competitive. I’m excited to work with Kevin [Buckler] and the team, Drew and I am glad we found a great cooperation to run with together!”
