Aston Martin Hydrogen-Hybrid to Compete at 24 Hrs of Nurburgring
Aston Martin is setting a new achievement at 24 Hours of Nurburgring, being the first auto brand to race a hydrogen-powered vehicle.
The famous British brand will be the pioneer to present a hydrogen-powered model at an international race and will be also the pioneer to put a zero-emissions car at the Nurburging 24 Hrs.
Based on the brand-new four-door Rapide S model, the race vehicle will use a Hybrid Hydrogen twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine adapted of running using either gasoline, hydrogen or a combination of both. The vehicle will be equipped with four carbon fiber tanks, with two next to the driver and two in the trunk.
Aston Martin is going to compete the 25 km Nurburgring track using hydrogen power with just H2O emissions, while also showing the reliability and convenience of hydrogen technology.

Current year Nurburgring 24 Hrs is taking place May 19-20th.
