Aston Martin Flagship Alteration to Q Lagonda in 2014
British media spread information about a new flagship saloon developed by Q to revive “Lagonda”.
First mentioning of the new model appeared in May from the official source. If then no one knew exactly when the debut would be conducted, today we have more or less defined terms limited by December 2014. Q division of the British brand will be responsible for design and engineering aspects of the release.
Rumours have it that the company plans to return to Lagonda line-up for the new product and assemble a very limited edition – practically less than a hundred cars. Engine will be of no surprise with its 12 cylinders, large volume and up to 600 bhp, but gearbox will be modified to automatic with eight speeds adopted by other Aston Martin models.
Lagonda built in the 70’s will supply not only the name plate, but also some design cues. Apart from that, stretched platform made of aluminium is to be expected.
