Volkswagen could buy Alfa Romeo

The Italian brand could become a full member of Volkswagen.

According to Autocar, three years ago, the Italian brand could go under the control of Porsche to produce budget sports cars.

As a result, the deal could not be made, and Alfa Romeo remains at Stellantis (this is a new concern after the merger of FCA with PSA).

The German company made contact with FCA in 2018 to buy out the Italian automaker. The concern received a harsh response - the deal could not be done.
