Slow Sales Are Killing the Next-Gen Alfa Romeo 4C Spider
It’s been only a year for the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, but its slow sales suppose a new offering.
According to AutoForecast Solutions, Autoline, the next gen 4C has been declined.
The automaker did not expect the vehicle to be very popular, but sales in America still failed to fulfil all the company’s requirements for its sales. Only 309 units were sold in 2016. By the way, the Dodge Viper will be taken off production soon and the sales indicate 11 models less than the 4C Spider.
According to the report, this one and maybe 4C Coupe will exist in 2020.
The considered Alfa Romeo car is an innovated lightweight sports vehicle with carbon fibber monocoque platform. It rides with a 1.75-litre turbocharged V4 engine generating 237 hp and torque of 258 pound-feet. The outstanding lightweight design of the vehicle makes it sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds. The top speed is stated at 160 mph.
