Giulia Quadrifoglio from Alfa Romeo enters Service
Alfa Romeo has shown off the Carabinieri with 2 innovated Giulia Quadrifoglio police vehicles.
The vehicles received usual blue and white livery with some red accents. The offerings got Carabinieri badging, LED light bar and emergency lights.
The cabin features more serious changes. There are a passenger side tablet, a police radio, portable cooling units, a defibrillator, LED flashlight holders, new switchgear to control the siren and lights and weapon storage compartments.
Like the regular version, the police vehicles receive power from a 2.9-litre biturbo six-cylinder engine generating 510 hp and torque of 442 pound-feet. The motor is joined to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle sprints from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds. Its top speed is 190 mph.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio is a faster than other police vehicles. Therefore, specially chosen policeman will drive them. These policemen were specially trained by Alfa Romeo instructors at the Varano de Melegari circuit. The officers will use the offering in ceremonies and in “special operations”, for example, transporting organs and blood.
