New York to Host the Presentation of Next Generation Acura TLX

The brand has informed about delegating a modified variant of the car which premiered at last year’s Detroit event to auto show in New York.

No images of next generation TLX have been supplied by the carmaker so far, but it is not difficult to figure out that it will bear a close resemblance to the concept car released earlier. The official presentation planned for April will resolve the doubts.

Two basic powertrain variants will be offered for TLX: V4 for 2.4 litres working together with a dual-clutch gearbox for eight speeds and a more powerful six-cylinder variant with the displacement of 3.5 litres using an automatic gearbox for nine speeds. Acura was clever enough to leave the four-wheel steering on the cars with front wheel drive. The variant with V6 engine will be equipped with advanced lightened four-wheel drive.

Further specifics will be supplied by Acura closer to the official premiere of 2015 TLX which will be conducted in mid-April.
