New York, Meet the 2017 Acura MDX!
Despite all the attention is drawn to the Geneva Motor Show, Acura has stated that its next year’s MDX will debut at the Auto Show held in NY.
The vehicle will be unveiled on March 23. It is restyled and reengineered. The automaker has not provided more information, but has shown a teaser. It hints at a sportier front fascia and a more pronounced radiator enclosure. It is also possible to see beefy wheel arches, a sculpted hood and slender headlamps.
The vehicle will get a minor refreshing inside. Expect more comfort, luxury and convenience. The car will probably be equipped with an updated infotainment set-up and several driver-assistance services.
Acura has not confirmed the possible engines. It was stated that the MDX will boast “advanced new technology”. Therefore, the crossover could obtain a new motor or a hybrid powerplant. The current offering rides with a 3.5-litre six-cylinder unit with the output of 290 hp and torque of 267 pound-feet.
The model was created by the automaker’s Design Studio in Torrance (California). The brand will continue manufacturing it at its factory located in Lincoln (Alabama). After the launch, the car will be also gathered together in East Liberty (Ohio).
