Volkswagen fined again for Dieselgate

A Spanish court has ordered Volkswagen to pay each owner of their diesel cars a hefty fine.

The Germans will pay €16.3 million because of illegal software that reduced emissions. The company has already said it will appeal the ruling.

The court in Madrid tried the Volkswagen case for five years. As a result, every affected motorist in Spain will receive three thousand euros in compensation.

It is worth recollecting that six years ago, Volkswagen was acknowledged cheater in the USA for the use of illegal software to manipulate the CO2 level in their diesel-powered cars. The German company has already paid huge fines more than once.
