Switzerland imposed a ban on Mercedes-Benz and Porsche diesel cars
Switzerland became one of the few countries that finished with the registration of Mercedes-Benz Vito, Porsche Macan and Cayenne cars with diesel engines.
It is reported that these cars do not comply with the norms of CO2 emissions for the European Union.
Automotive News writes that the ban concerns machines that are imported into the country from August 17, 2018. Transport, previously registered, can be operated, but these cars will receive developments under new eco-standards.
Mercedes-Benz Vito, where we saw a 1.6-liter unit, the Porsche Macan with a 3.0-liter engine and Cayenne with a 4.2-liter engine is under the ban. With the developments, the motors will comply with the Euro-6 standard.
