Lexus is constructing tiny crossover
Toyota RAV4 platform will be used for hybrid-powered vehicle.
Lexus plans to introduce ready for production SUV in contrast to Audi Q3 and BMW X1 at the 2014 Geneva motor show, a company representative informed.

At the Detroit auto show in winter, Lexus chief Kazuo Ohara announced that a concept variant of the SUV would be introduced at the Tokyo motor show in November.
The small SUV will probably use the Toyota hybrid drivetrain that is placed in the Avalon vehicle, which has a four-cylinder 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor.
Auto brands are hurrying to add compact SUVs to their side because of the high demand of vehicles such as the Audi Q3 and Buick Encore.
