Cameras completely replaced the side mirrors in Lexus cars
Lexus ES Sedan can for the first time provide side mirrors with special cameras for all car companies.
The device will be able to translate the picture into screens with a diagonal of 5 inches, which are present in the car's interior.
The technology was called Digital Outer Mirrors, and it is expected in a brand new 4-door Lexus ES. The car will premiere in Paris-2018 in October.
It is known that after a while the cameras will be introduced into other cars of the brand. We add that the technology at first will provide only machines in Japan.
The camera looks like simple side mirrors, but they are smaller. The company says that due to the new technology, the aerodynamics of cars will be improved, the noise level will decrease and the driver's review will improve.
The new generation of the ES sedan will receive three gasoline engines. This will be a 150-hp 2.0-liter unit, a 200-hp 2.5-liter engine, and a 3.5-liter V6 with 249 horsepower.
