Jaguar confirms that they will produce an electric XJ

The flagship Jaguar XJ sedan of the new generation, which prepare for 2020, will appear in a fully electric version.

The British press service informs that the foundation of the future XJ is a scalable MLA platform that allows the use of traditional internal combustion engines, hybrid or all-electric circuits. The novelty will keep the main advantages from the past performance, that is, "excellent appearance, driving parameters and luxury."

The release of a new car will be dealt with in the UK at the plant in Castle Bromwich. The vehicle will be the first electrified car made in this factory. Now hybrid brands of Range Rover are assembled in Solihull English, while the Jaguar I-Pace electro-crossover made in Magna Steyr in Austria.

According to rumors, the "green" Jaguar XJ will give four electric motors of 200 "horses" and batteries for 100 kilowatt-hours. The dynamics and power reserve of the XJ successor will be no worse than the Tesla Model S with a Porsche Taycan.
