The introduced new generation of Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai showed online the new Elantra. The broadcast was held at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, USA.

Hyundai declassified the option of a car for the USA, but soon the company will show modifications for other countries.

The car created on an entirely new base, which made the model longer and wider: Elantra added 56 mm in length, up to 4.666 m, width - 25 mm, up to 1.826 m, removed 20 mm in height, up to 1.414 m. Wheelbase increased by 20 mm, up to 2.72 m. The company says that this has increased the space in the cabin.

The new generation of Elantra has got an increased radiator and a more sloping roofline. Now the car is no longer positioned as a sedan but as a 4-door coupe. Another car got a brand new optics, other bumpers, and a choice of wheel arches for 15, 16, or 17 inches.

The initial versions of the new items in the cabin have a digital dashboard, an 8-inch screen, and multimedia with support for Apple CarPlay, as well as Android Auto. More expensive versions received two displays of 10.25 inches. The driver gets at his disposal a system of emergency brakes, lane-keeping, adaptive "cruise," a driver status monitoring function, a rear camera, and an intelligent light control system. The model will also please with a digital key, which allows using a smartphone to control several orders of the machine remotely.

The new Elantra has few engines: a 2.0-liter gasoline-powered 150-horsepower engine with 180 Nm working with an IVT variator, plus a hybrid modification that includes a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor. A total of 141 hp relics. Next, the model will have a "hot" N-version.

In the series, the novelty will arrive this fall. The next-generation Elantra will begin selling in the fourth quarter of 2020.
