Hyundai will prepare a 'crazy' serial sports car

Next year, Hyundai will begin selling the "crazy" new sports car with a mid-engine layout.

The head of research and development Hyundai Albert Biermann told this news at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Five years ago, Hyundai demonstrated the first concept car of a mid-engined car with a base from Veloster. After a while, a couple more of these prototypes appeared, and the last was RM19. The "crazy" sports car of the production model will take the RM19 base as a basis.

This car is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 390 "horses," working with a 6-speed sequential gearbox. The car picks up a "hundred" in 4 seconds, the "maximum speed" is fixed at 250 km/h.

A new product can also get an electric motor in pair with the internal combustion engine. It turns out that we should expect the appearance of a hybrid sports car.
