Ford Celebrates Large Sales Paying Bonuses to Workers

2013 ended with Ford earning $8.8 billion pre-tax with the largest market being North America.

European sales of the American carmaker left much to be desired, but last year’s gross income is still an impressive sum - $7.2. The most vivid sales were made from September to December 2013: Ford managed to raise $3 billion totalling to almost twice as much as during the same months in 2012. Tax benefits and other items account for other $2.1 billion.

Automobile Workers Union secured a bonus for hourly employees from pre-tax profit of their companies. A thank-you gift from Ford will total $8,800. It is estimated that 47,000 workers fall under this category.

The company’s CEO expresses joy concerning the outcome of 2013 and believes that subsequent Ford’s strategic plans will also not turn out to be disappointing.

The brand continues to show high sales performance for 18th quarter in a row. In annual terms, 2013 seems to be the most successful year for Ford since the beginning of the millennium.
