Jessika Laudermilk, Assistant Vice President of Honda National Sales, stated that the upcoming Prelude will be marketed as a true performance car. This statement is unexpected considering the earlier admission by Honda's chief engineer that it won't be the most exhilarating vehicle on the market.

While Honda has stayed tight-lipped about the Prelude's specifications, some intriguing features have been unveiled. The coupe will introduce S+ Shift technology, providing a more engaging driving experience by simulating the sound and feel of quick automatic gear changes. Additionally, the prototype showcased paddle shifters for virtual gear shifting, giving it a dynamic edge.

The new Prelude boasts wider tracks and a shorter wheelbase than the Civic Hybrid, enhancing its performance-oriented stance.
