BP25 S2000: A 580+ HP, 10,000-RPM Honda Masterpiece
Bulletproof Automotive, a Los Angeles tuner known for bold builds, has pushed an S2000 to its edge, pairing a new crate engine with a forced-induction setup and a host of performance-oriented parts.
Powerplant and Drive
Under the hood sits a 2.0-liter four-cylinder crate engine boosted by a Vortech V2-Si supercharger, producing more than 580 horsepower at 9,300 rpm and revving all the way to 10,000 rpm.
The setup includes an Amuse titanium exhaust system with the manifold, a high-flow fuel system using Injector Dynamics injectors, and a Science of Speed racing heat exchanger to manage temperatures during spirited runs.
The engine is mated to Honda’s AP2 six-speed manual, featuring a short-throw shifter and an ACT flywheel, sending power to a rear axle through a limited-slip differential from ASM and Drexler.
Chassis, Aerodynamics, and Brakes
Suspension work comes from Top Secret with a coilover kit, complemented by components from J’s Racing, Spoon, and EVS. The body wears Varis Dark Panther widebody panels, carbon-fiber aero pieces, a vented hood, a rear wing, and a lightweight trunk. The paint matches Bulletproof’s Concept One in Lamborghini Balloon White.
Wheels are 19-inch BP-RW Evolutions wrapped in 295/30ZR19 Toyo Proxes R888R tires, with Brembo Pista brakes (six-piston front, four-piston rear) installed for stopping power.
Interior and Showpiece Details
The cockpit features RS-G Limited Edition Super Start seats, a Mugen roll bar, a Mugen steering wheel, and Willans FIA harnesses. Black Alcantara covers the dashboard, door panels, and headliner for a refined, race-inspired feel.
The S2000 is badge-marked as the BP25, commemorating Bulletproof’s 25th anniversary. It made its debut at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas and will remain on display through November 7.
