Citroen wants to put cars on 30-inch wheels

Giant 30-inch rims, which first appeared on the 19_19 concept, over the next ten years can merge into mass-produced cars.

Chief executive officer of the French company Linda Jackson believes that such wheels will allow changing the exterior of the machines radically.

Citroen is confident that electrification and fundamentals in the form of “skateboard” platforms will provide more free ideas for engineers and designers. The appearance of the cars is thoroughly changed, and the big wheels will be the pastures for several reasons. There will be an impressive ground clearance, and a great fit without the need to increase the body size, as well as narrow tires, will become more aerodynamic.

Concept Citroen 19_19 debuted at the end of this spring.
