Ford decided with the name of an electric SUV

A new Ford electric car can start selling with the name Mach E or Mach-E.

This name is registered in the US patent office by Ford.  The application informs that such a name will be applied to 'vehicles such as electric cars, passenger cars, trucks, sports cars, and all-terrain vehicles.'

Perhaps the novelty will be called Mach 1. Previously, the name was applied to the Mustang 'hot' variations, but the negative reaction of Ford fans caused the name to be abandoned.

The development of new items will be held in the division of Ford Team Edison, responsible for creating company eco-models. In the future will be a competitor to Tesla Model X, and the assembly will take place at the Ford plant in Mexico.

The debut of the car will take place in 2020. Rumors say that the electric range is more than 480 km.
