50 mpg Fuel Economy for Buick LaCrosse Hybrid
Buick has unveiled the LaCrosse Hybrid EV. The event happened in Shanghai (China). Having seen it virtually, we came to the conclusion that the car is the same as the regular offering. The vehicle features a high-tech powerplant.
It consists of an electric variable transmission, a 1.8-litre SIDI motor, and a 1.5 kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery. The automaker revealed that the model will sprint from 0-62 mph in 8.9 seconds. It fuel economy rating stands at 50 mpg .
Besides the eco-friendly powerplant, the considered vehicle boasts an active shutter enclosure, an electronic climate control processor and an electronic power steering set-up. The LaCrosse Hybrid features a thermal energy recycling system. It is joined with the exhaust.
The executive director of global propulsion systems at GM stated that the producer will have presented more than 10 eco-friendly cars in China by 2021. He told that the company is preparing hybrids, range-extended EVs and plug-in hybrids. Some of the vehicles will feature a blue logo indentifying that they are new energy vehicles.
