Canadian Racing Partner Will Build Ford GT

The Ford GT supercar will be produced in Canada.

The stunning Ford GT was revealed at the Auto Show in Detroit in January. The model will have 600 hp and is going to be produced in 2016. Production and pricing figures have not been declared by the automaker yet, but analysts say that the American company is going to manufacture only several hundred vehicles per year. They also believe that the price will stand near $200,000.

Announcing that Multimatic Motorsports will manufacture the Ford GT, it adds weight to the news that the producer will make a comeback to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the next year. Multimatic was in the winning team. It won the LMP675 class in the Le Mans endurance race 15 years ago. It also has been cooperating with Ford since 1992.
