2016 Honda HR-V is Capable of 35 MPG on the Highway

New crossover from Honda consumes less fuel.

It was announced that the 2016 HR-V consumes 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. The model is equipped with a CVT and front-wheel drive. The four-wheel drive, if added, drops the numbers to 27 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

The offering is equipped with a 1.8-litre powertrain generating 138 hp and torque of 127 lb-ft.

Thankfully to these numbers, the HR-V has the heels of its main competitors, the Chevy Trax and Nissan Juke. Equipped with automatic gear boxes, the Trax is capable of 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway and the Juke comes at 28 mpg in the city 32 mpg on the highway.
