Faulty Airbags of 2014 Odyssey from Honda

A massive recall has been initiated in Honda when airbag problem was discovered in approximately 25,000 units.

The affected minivans, all produced for the current model year, reveal malfunctioning lateral airbags which might not open when expected. The company reports that the defect might stem from incorrectly placed shorting terminal which acts as a kind of safety device to keep the bag folded during the assembling.

Luckily, the potential damage did not have a chance to prove itself on the road. Owners of 2014 Odyssey referred to their dealerships with an issue of warning light appearing on the dash board, which gave reason for a massive recall. Notification campaign will begin at the end of May.
