Caravan to Survive as a Name

Soon discontinuation of Dodge Grand Caravan will not lead to the elimination of Caravan as a model name.

The news has been broken by CEO of Fiat-Chrysler corporation that Caravan will still be mentioned as a title of one of the line-up’s representative but not as a part of Chrysler or Dodge heritage. A statement implying the retaining of Caravan nameplate has been made by Marchionne at one of the open corporate events. He wisely decided not to disclose any further information, but expressed genuine enthusiasm about the issue.

Auto journalists have offered their predictions regarding the appearance of Caravan nameplate. Some of them include next-generation or remodelled crossovers. Dodge Journey as well as three-row vehicle from Dodge also seems to be a likely candidate for acquiring Caravan designation. The former is planned to be taken wraps off in two years and the latter – in three years.
