Honda Odyssey Examination for Potential Brake Problem
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has launched a test on 2007-2008 model year Honda Odyssey minivans for a potential brake problem.
The test affects about 344,000 Odyssey vans after NHTSA got 22 complaints from drivers about unexpected braking. According to those reports, the Odyssey is braking without the person pressing the pedal. Sometimes, the brakes were engaged while the person was accelerating and 5 people have informed NHTSA that dealerships have found a problem in a steering angle sensor in the electronic stability control system.
NHTSA has informed that it isn’t aware of any accidents or damages related to the problem, and that experts will determine if a return is necessary.
