The first-generation Volvo V60 sportswagon launched at the 2010 Paris Motor Show on the Ford EUCD / Volvo P3 platform. Derived from the S60 II sedan, it was manufactured as a 5-door wagon combining sleek sportswagon styling with City Safety and BLIS blind-spot systems.
Engines ranged from 1.6 T3/T4 and 2.0 T5 to 3.0 T6 inline-six petrols, alongside D2-D5 diesels. In 2012, Volvo released the V60 Plug-in Hybrid, the world's first diesel-electric PHEV. The range featured the rugged V60 Cross Country and high-performance V60 Polestar (350-367 hp). A 2013 facelift introduced revised front headlights and Drive-E engine options.
