The Volkswagen Taigo subcompact coupe-crossover with body code CS debuted for the European market in July 2021. Adapted from the South American Nivus model, the Taigo is constructed on the modular MQB A0 platform. It distinguishes itself within the B-segment through a sweeping coupe-like roofline, athletic body proportions, and standard LED lighting with a continuous light strip. The interior shares its layout with the Polo, featuring the Digital Cockpit instrument display and intuitive infotainment controls.

The powertrain line for the Taigo consists exclusively of turbocharged TSI gasoline engines, including 1.0-liter three-cylinder units producing 95 hp or 110 hp, and a top-tier 1.5-liter four-cylinder generating 150 hp. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual, six-speed manual, or seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. The R-Line trim package enhances the vehicle's sporty appearance with bespoke front and rear bumpers, dark exterior accents, and sport seats.
