The Volkswagen Passat CC (Typ 35) unveiled at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show as a four-door 'Comfort Coupe'. Constructed on the PQ46 chassis, it stood 31 mm lower than the standard Passat sedan, featuring frameless side windows and a fastback roofline. During its 2012 facelift, the 'Passat' moniker was dropped, rebadging the car simply as Volkswagen CC.
Engine choices offered 1.4, 1.8, and 2.0 TSI petrols, a range-topping 300 hp 3.6 V6 4Motion, and 2.0 TDI diesels mated to manual or DSG transmissions.
