The Vauxhall Adam was an upscale, three-door city car celebrated for its dynamic styling and extensive personalization options.
Introduced in late 2012 for the 2013 model year, the Vauxhall Adam was a stylish three-door city hatchback positioned in the premium A-segment to rival the Fiat 500 and MINI Cooper. Built on a shortened version of the General Motors SCCS architecture, the Adam prioritized sharp styling and customization over raw rear passenger space. Customers could choose from countless exterior and interior color combinations, roof finishes, alloy wheel designs, and ambient lighting packages, including a starry-sky illuminated headliner. The mechanical lineup initially consisted of naturally aspirated 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol engines, which were later complemented by an advanced 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine with direct fuel injection. The lineup also expanded to include the rugged Adam Rocks crossover-inspired edition with an electric canvas roof and raised ride height, as well as the high-performance Adam S with a 1.4-litre Turbo engine and sport-tuned chassis. Transmissions included five- and six-speed manuals and the Easytronic automated manual.
