The modern four-seat Rolls-Royce Dawn convertible, coded RR6, was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show as an open-top grand tourer sharing engineering DNA with the Ghost and Wraith lineup. Despite styling similarities to the Wraith, roughly 80 percent of its exterior body panels were entirely bespoke to optimize aerodynamics and body rigidity, highlighted by a tailored six-layer fabric roof engineered to operate in near-total silence in 22 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. Under the bonnet sat a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine generating 571 horsepower (601 hp in Black Badge specification), mated to a smooth eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox utilizing predictive satellite navigation data. The cabin featured a genuine four-seat layout trimmed in open-pore wood paneling and premier hand-stitched leather. The Dawn was built at Goodwood and marketed worldwide until the conclusion of its production run in early 2023.
