The Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class (internal code X247) debuted in summer 2019 as an all-new compact crossover positioning between the GLA and GLC. Built on an extended 2,829 mm wheelbase variant of the MFA2 front-wheel-drive platform, the GLB stands out with its boxy, rugged exterior design cues inspired by the G-Class and the optional three-row, seven-passenger seating layout.

Engine options include 1.33-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engines alongside 2.0-liter turbodiesel units. Transmissions feature 7-speed and 8-speed dual-clutch automatics paired with front-wheel drive or 4MATIC all-wheel drive with Off-Road Engineering Package functionality. The AMG GLB 35 provides 306 hp from its tuned 2.0L engine. A 2023 mid-lifecycle update introduced 48V mild-hybrid assist and refreshed LED lighting signatures.
