The first-generation Lincoln Nautilus arrived for the 2019 model year as a major redesign and renaming of the second-generation Lincoln MKX, built on Ford's CD4 unibody platform. It adopted Lincoln's modern design language, highlighted by a bold rectangular signature mesh grille and sleek LED headlamps. The naturally aspirated V6 was dropped in favor of an all-turbocharged engine lineup, comprising a standard 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline-four producing 250 horsepower and an optional 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 generating 335 horsepower. Both powerplants were mated to a new eight-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive or intelligent all-wheel drive. For the 2021 model year, the Nautilus received a completely redesigned cabin featuring a 'quiet flight' horizontal dashboard layout, push-button piano key shifter, and a 13.2-inch center screen running SYNC 4. The vehicle was sold across North America, China, and the Middle East until 2023.
