The second-generation Lexus NX luxury crossover (chassis code AA20) premiered in June 2021 for the 2022 model year. Built on the TNGA GA-K platform, center of gravity was lowered by 0.8 inches while body rigidity increased. Exterior styling featured refined body sculpting, an updated spindle grille, and a full-width LED rear light bar anchored by spaced LEXUS lettering. The Tazuna-themed cockpit debuted an available 14-inch Lexus Interface touchscreen and E-Latch electronic door handles.
Powertrain offerings encompassed a 2.5-liter four-cylinder on NX 250 (203 hp), a 2.4-liter turbo on NX 350 (275 hp) with an eight-speed automatic, the NX 350h hybrid (240 hp), and Lexus's first plug-in hybrid, the NX 450h+, outputting 304 horsepower with an estimated electric driving range of up to 37 miles.
