The flagship 5-door sports liftback Kia Stinger (CK) premiered at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Designed by Gregory Guillaume and Peter Schreyer based on the GT Concept, its chassis tuning was led on the Nürburgring by former BMW M chief engineer Albert Biermann. Built on Genesis' rear-wheel-drive platform with longitudinal engine orientation, it featured a long hood, short overhangs, and a body length of 4,830 mm. This generation of the Stinger (CK) was produced from 2017 to 2023 and offered in хэтчбек body styles. Built on an engineered platform, it features strong structural rigidity, refined aerodynamics, and advanced occupant safety engineering.

Engine options highlighted a 2.0L T-GDI (247-255 hp), a later 2.5L T-GDI (304 hp), a flagship 3.3-liter V6 Twin-Turbo (365-373 hp for the GT), and a 2.2L CRDi diesel (200 hp). All paired with an 8-speed automatic with optional torque-vectoring D-AWD. A 2020 refresh introduced updated lighting graphics, quad exhaust tips, and a 10.25-inch screen, concluding production in 2023 with a Tribute Edition. The powertrain lineup features modern engines optimized for thermal efficiency, balancing responsive acceleration with economical fuel consumption. Power is delivered through reliable manual or automatic transmissions.
