The second-generation Hyundai Genesis (DH chassis) made its world debut in Seoul in November 2013. Showcasing Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 styling, the DH featured a single-frame hexagonal grille and an extended wheelbase. Chassis tuning was executed in partnership with Lotus Engineering, and Hyundai debuted its HTRAC all-wheel-drive system on this platform.
Engine technology highlighted 3.0-liter, 3.3-liter GDI, 3.8-liter Lambda GDI V6 (315 hp), and a 5.0-liter Tau GDI V8 (425 hp), all mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Interior tech included a heads-up display and a Lexicon 17-speaker audio system. In late 2016, the model was rebadged as the Genesis G80 under the newly launched standalone Genesis brand.
