The second-generation Honda Ridgeline (YK2/YK3) launched in January 2016. Constructed on Honda's Global Light Truck platform, it adopted a traditional bed design without buttresses while retaining the In-Bed Trunk, Dual-Action tailgate, and available Truck-Bed Audio system.

It is powered by a direct-injected 3.5-liter Earth Dreams V6 (280 hp) paired with a 6-speed or 9-speed automatic transmission. The i-VTM4 AWD system offers torque vectoring across the rear wheels. A bold 2020 facelift introduced an upright front grille, squared-off nose, and dual exhaust tips.
