McLaren P13 was Spotted Testing
McLaren P13 photos uncovered, as the 911 Turbo competitor was spied testing recently.
These McLaren P13 photos represent the first blink of the automaker's brand-new baby ultra-model. Directed objectively at Porsche 911s, such as the £119,000 Turbo, it’s planned for a late 2014 kick off with sales launching in the beginning of 2015.
Although our veiled shots were taken from afar and the vehicle is well-covered, you can neatly see a sharper front end and headlight style inspired by the P1. The profile of the model is different from the 12C as well, with the latest air intake on the flanks, while the pop-up spoiler seems to be removed.
This very model will be the 3rd vehicle in the current McLaren line-up, taking place below the £865,000 P1 ultra-model and the 12C super-model. It has been rumored to use a detuned variant of the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 motor equipped in the 12C, with about 451bhp.
The P13 model will share the similar to carbon fibre monocoque as its larger friends but have a just smaller wheelbase and narrower tracks than the 12C, providing it improved compact look and a decreased kerbweight than the 1,433kg 12C.
