General Motors has announced technical specifications for its sixth-generation Small Block V8 engines destined for the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500. The new 5.7-liter L76 produces 402 hp and offers up to 13,700 pounds of towing capacity, while the larger 6.6-liter L78 delivers 481 hp.
