Tesla Supercharger: Now from the East Coast to the West Coast for Free

Tesla Model S offers the drivers to charge their cars for free on the way from New York to Los Angeles.

71 stations for Supercharger are now operating all the way to North America stretching from Palo Alto, California, hometown. The official statistics on the company’s website has been confirmed by the Tweeter entry from company’s CEO boasting to cover nearly four-fifths of American population with newly opened stations.

Autumn 2013 provided the owners of Model S with a safe route of chargers connecting southwest America with British Columbia in Canada. The chargers can also serve the drivers who bought a compact car with 60 kWh batteries if they pay $2,000 to access the network.

Charging equipment allows drivers to cover 170 miles in half an hour.

The expanding foreseen by the schedule for 2014 is meant for reaching most territories in South Canada as well as covering as much America as possible. By the end of the year Supercharger’s plans imply to complete 98 percent coverage of the USA
