Mercedes-AMG Signs Cooperation with Motorcycle Maker

Mercedes-AMG has signed cooperation with a motorcycle producer for a long term.

The German company has stated about its gaining a 25% stake in MV Agusta pending affirmation from competent authorities. The two producers have inked a collaboration agreement for a long-term contribution that includes the field of sales and marketing. Mercedes-Benz will assert a representative from MV Agusta’s board of management, though the contribution probably will not include engineering and new models’ breeding.

The German company draws a bead on an Italian motorcycle producer not for the first time. Audi gained Ducati in 2012. The Volkswagen XL Sport concept, which was presented at the Motor Show of 2014 in Paris, became the result of this partnership.

Tobias Moers, the boss of Mercedes-AMG stated that the company has found the suitable two-wheel mate for them in MV Agusta. He said that this producer had a long tradition, just as the Mercedes-AMG. Moreover, he stressed that the producers have connection in not only beneficial racing memories, but as well i the same aims and values for the future. These aims and values include going to perfection, most favourable performance and motorsport technologies for riding. The partnership with the motorcycle producer underscores the significance of AMG as the Mercedes-Benz’s brand of enhanced performance and sportive vehicles. The cooperation will provide the automaker an entry into a life of high-performance fans.
