Special Edition from Lotus - Meet the Elise 20th Anniversary

Lotus is going to celebrate its 20th anniversary of the Elise and present an outstanding edition with a number of upgrades.

The model was first introduced in September 20 years ago at the Motor Show in Frankfurt. Now the British producer presents a special edition. The version will replace the Elise S Club Racer. Its weight is just 2,015 lbs (or 914 kg). This means that the offering is 22 lbs (or 10 kg) lighter than the Elise S. Power comes through the same 1.8-litre supercharged petrol engine generating 217 hp (or 162 kW) at 6,800 rpm and torque of 250 Nm (or 184 lb-ft) at 4,600 rpm.

Here are the performance characteristics. The Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary Edition will sprint 0-62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) only in 4.6 seconds. The variant’s top speed will be 145 mph (or 237 km/h). Its light weight makes it possible to consume only 5.9 litres / 47.8 mpg (or 100 km) and emit 173 g/km of CO2.

The automaker will offer the car in green, blue, silver and yellow colours. All of them match with a matte black rear diffuser, roll hoop, rear transom and wing mirrors. Matte black forged alloy wheels will also set the vehicle apart from other ones. It will also have matching decals inside on the dashboard and seats. A hardtop will be possible to obtain for £1,200.

Starting from price £39,900, the offering is currently on sale. It brings £5,150 worth of extra package, but clients will pay just additional £2,700 if to compare the prices with a regular Elise. Air conditioning can be optionally configured for £1,250. Even CD/radio and USB connection and NVH package can be obtained for additional £1,200.
