Level Down for Citroen to Keep Alive

In the nearest future Citroen will be forced to sell its cars for less money.

Something of a kind could be predicted as the carmaker gradually moved away from the initial policy of selling vehicles for moderate prices.

C4 Cactus was chosen as a pioneer of the endeavour. Car offered for €14,000 pays off well considering that the main rivals, such as VW and GM offerings, ask more. Nevertheless, the French automaker cannot afford sacrificing quality and ingenuity, thus, Cactus has a peculiar design with bench seats and door panels made of material with unusual texture.

Design head of the brand comments on the style approach as going against the flow when the competitors opt for enhanced aggressiveness and maximum light materials. In the same way, marketing plans for C4 Cactus differ from the standard ones. Production boss of Citroen says that niche aiming is not in the focus for the model and that its sales will represent a broader look at the concept.

Representatives of the brand have also shared their views on the future of PSA group. DS, for example, should be a premium flagman and Peugeot should keep contending with Volkswagen. As for Citroen, entry-level return would not be such a mistake for it.
