New Plant for Chrysler Pickup Trucks

The company is considering putting into operation a new truck plant in view of Ram pickups’ popularity.

Chrysler’s CEO announced that he disagreed with the plans of the executives and would better load the existing two plants to maximum capacity in order to obtain the needed percentage of production growth, which is about one-fifth. Apart from that, he assured that North America was out of the question for a new assembly site.

Ram trucks now come from an assembly line of a facility located in Mexico. Chrysler’s CEO shared his views on the situation during a conference and concluded that it was unlikely that a new plant was going to be established. The conference also included the report of the brand’s income of $1.6 billion obtained September through December 2013.

Ram trucks got one-fifth livelier sales than in 2013. Regarding other pickup trucks models, they experienced a 17 percent sales increase.
