U.S., meet the 2017 Cadillac CT6 Plug-In Hybrid made in China

Cadillac has stated about the next year’s CT6 Plug-In Hybrid. It will be developed only in China and then exported to the U.S.

The statement was made by the brand’s chief marketing officer through an interview with Bloomberg. The standard CT6 will be gathered together in China and the U.S. Though, the plug-in variant will have only the China label. The vehicle is expected to go on sale sometime later in 2016.

The automaker tried to avoid paying enormous import taxed that are applied in China by gathering the offering locally. Moreover, this country will play a significant role for the plug-in hybrid version CT6. The company expects most of the sales to come from it.
