Veyron and Galibier Will Not See the World

Bugatti has officially announced production cancelling of two of its models: boosted Veyron and Galibier sedan.

The sad news about Galibier was made public last year, and now the company’s CEO has shared with the waiting customers the announcement about cancellation of Veyron Plus vehicle, also known as SuperVeyron. Wolfgang Schreiber believes that Veyron SuperSport model will make up for the discontinued cars and he is sure that Veyron lineup accomplishes the tasks set for it.

Galibier fate was predetermined by the fact that Bugatti bosses decided the model will spread confusion at the market. Despite production cancelling, the brand confirmed that new Veyron is in progress, which calmed the ones worried about successful rival models of other carmakers. The new Bugatti vehicle will be based on the current Veyron, but supercar is planned to outperform its sales.

One tenth of Veyrons out of 450 produced cars still have not found their buyers. 2015 will be the tenth birthday of the current model, and it is unlikely that any announcements about its successor will be made until then. Meanwhile, Schreiber gave a subtle hint that the future vehicle might work on hybrid technology.
