Detroit Motor Show of a new format will not take place

The coronavirus pandemic caused the cancellation of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

The event was supposed to take place in a new format this summer. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic will not allow the game to materialize, Automotive News reports.

The place where the motor show was supposed to take place will turn into a temporary field hospital. Now the number of people infected in Michigan is equal to 5500 people. In essence, this is the fourth result among all the states in the name of diagnosed cases of coronavirus in the United States.

By the way, since 2020, the NAIAS organizers decided to hold an exhibition in June, and not in January. The latest format of the auto show includes an outdoor event, many performances, concerts, test drives, seminars, and children's entertainment programs.
